Martens Corrado
Biography
Known as Dino. Born in Venice in 1894, he died there in 1970. He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts. He moved to murano in the mid 20s to become a collaborator and partner of S.A.L.I.R.'s. As a painter, he exhibited at various Biennale of Venice editions: from 1924 to 1930. He then worked as a designer in 1932 for the Salviati & Co. And for Succ. Andrea Rioda firms. From 1939 to 1963 he was the art director of Aureliano Toso's, creating glassware of great interest for the open minded use of traditional Ventian techniques.
