Since two generation, the Angi family works in the Murano glass blowing field. Giancarlo Angi began still very young a collaboration with important and famous glass blowing factories and showrooms. This is the end of ‘50s and in that period the glass blowing art lived a new freshness wave thanks to the rise of new artistic movements. Then more than ever, artists from many academies,who were eager to express themselves by the glass art, went to Murano island. This is the incubator where Giancarlo went in for his great passion for the art, contemporary and not only. Already when he was 31, he opened his first showrooms getting the chance to choose by himself the workmanships to exhibit.

During those years,he begins to promote and stimulate the production and creativeness of very famous artists and maison like Loredano Rosin, Luciano Gaspari, Ermanno Nason, lots of the Toso families, Seguso, Cenedese etc.
In this period, friendships and partnerships rise and they accompany him till his death in the 1989.
This strong passion has been impressed on his sons Giovanni and Franco, who continue his work today with two showrooms just in the heart of Venice,under the brand Murano Vitrum.
