It is an elegant technique that consists in including a thin gold leaf in the glass.
The operation begins by collecting a minimum quantity of glass and blowing it so to obtain a suitable base for the work.

More glass is added to it and shaped as a cylinder. Afterwards, it is rolled on the gold leaf

layed on the plate so that it attaches at it.
By adding more glass to the item, the gold leaf seems to be enveloped in the glass. At this point it is possible to shape and create the item.
The gold leaf, which is extremely thin, breaks and appears as a mix of little golden straws.
