When:  from 14 April 2024 to 24 November 2024
Where: Italy - Venice - San Giorgio Island - Le Stanze del Vetro
Edited by: Marino Barovier

The exhibition will focus on Murano glass at the Venice Biennale from 1912 to 1930, showcasing a curated selection of 135 rare pieces from museums and private collections. This period marks Murano glass's growing inclusion in the Biennale, initially by artists using this unique material, and then through the integration of decorative arts until 1930. A dedicated space was established in 1932. The exhibition, "Murano Glass and the Venice Biennale," will include a catalog by Marino Barovier and Carla Sonego, based on extensive research. Our online bookshop offers a range of books for glass enthusiasts.
