Born in Huttendorf in 1900, he died in Murano in 1974. He studied at the Fachschule in Haida (Novy Bor, Czech Republic). After 1922 he worked in Florence together with Guido Balsamo Stella and opened a glasswork with him in 1925. He cooperated with S.A.L.I.R.'s after 1929 as designer and engraver.
