Born in Parenzo (Trieste) in 1896, he died at Mauthausen in 1945. He was an architect, urban designer, and even writer.
In 1928 he became appointed director of the International Exhibition in Turin (Italy), where he designed some of the halls in cooperation with Levi-Montalcini and Petrona. He also was the editor of the italian magazine "Casabella", transformed it into a tool for the diffusion of philosophical movement "rationalism" in Italy. In 1929 he designed the Sambuco shop for the S.A.I.A.R. firm. In 1938 - 41 his last work was the Bocconi University in Milan.
