Born in Chioggia (Venice, Italy) in 1900, he died in Venice in 1984. He started his career as a ceramics artist and in 1929 started working at I.V.A.M.'s. In 1934 he associated with Barovier Seguso Ferro's; in 1937 the firm's name was turned intoSeguso Vetri D'Arte, and Flavio Poli became its art director until 1963. During this period he also worked for other glassworks and from 1964 to 1966 he became a partner in the Societa' Veneziana di Conterie e Cristallerie firm.
