Born in Venice in 1913. He studied at the Fine Arts Academy of Venice and Bologna, he was a pupil of Virgilio Guidi and Giorgio Morandi. He participated in a number of Biennales.

From 1955 to 1968 he worked as art director in the Salviati & Co. firm, where he designed a number of sommerso glasswares having intense chromatic effects.

After 1981 he decided to mainly work on paintings and he has occasionally cooperated with the glasswork.

In 1991 - 1992 he designed objects made by Pino Signoretto for personal exhibitions.
