Lucio Bubacco

By admin 24 October 2013 720 Views No comments

Born in Murano in 1957, Lucio Bubacco's first contact with glass happened really soon as he was still a young boy, when he used to make small animals, and beads with the lampwork technique.

Because of his fascination with anatomy, both human and equine, in 1980 he began studying anatomical drawing with the artist Alessandro Rossi.

These studies combine with the knowledge of colour and Muranese techniques, merge into unique works such as his blown vases with incorporated glass figures.

The plasticity and accurate details that Bubacco is able to reproduce, let us understand how much he's mastered the lampwork technique, bringing it to a new higher level.
