Renato Guttuso

Born in Bagheria in 1912, died in Rome in 1987. After classical studies in Palermo he moved to Rome in 1931 to exhibit at the I Quadriennale. He was in Milan from 1935 to 1937, in contact with Birolli, Manzù and Joppolo. Political and social commitment had a strong influence on

all his works. During the 60s he also worked for Fucina degli Angeli .
