A RETURN TO VENICE, 30 YEARS LATER

Thirty years after the landmark Chihuly Over Venice project of 1996, Dale Chihuly returns to the city that played such an important role in shaping his artistic career.

CHIHULY: Venice 2026 presents three new monumental works along the Grand Canal: Gold Tower at Palazzo Franchetti, Blue and Green Tower at Palazzo Balbi Valier, and End of the Day Chandelier at Palazzo Querini alla Carità. All three can be seen from the Accademia Bridge and from the Grand Canal.  La Settimana del Vetro di Venezia

At Palazzo Loredan, the Istituto Veneto di Scienze, Lettere ed Arti hosts a Gallery and Archival Center curated by Suzanne Geiss, bringing together drawings, photographs, videos, documents, and selected works that trace Chihuly’s creative process and revisit the extraordinary story of Chihuly Over Venice. The gallery is open Wednesday–Sunday, 11:00 AM–7:00 PM. CHIHULY VENICE 2026
