Elisabeth Decobert


Born on 3 June 1968 in Talence, Gironde, the artist has followed a rich artistic training course, which began at the Villa Arson, an international art and research school in Nice, followed by the École des arts décoratifs in Strasbourg and culminating with a degree in Art History from the Faculty of Montpellier.

Decobert is very well prepared on both a practical and theoretical level, having trained in the techniques of blown glass with Alain BEGOU and pasta vitrea with Jaromir RYBAK at Sars poterie. Their mastery extends to engraving and is complemented by personal research in painting and sculpture.

Their career is underlined by numerous exhibitions, starting with their participation in ‘Étoiles de la peinture’ in 1989, various European contemporary painting meetings in 1990 and the remarkable Artissimo in Villeneuve-lès-Avignon. His works have also been exhibited at the Saga Grand Palais in Paris and the Galerie l'Utopie in Uzès, among other prestigious venues.

The artist has also made significant contributions to the field of glass sculpture, with exhibitions at Galerie Art et Création in Lyon, Galerie Anliker in Berne, Galerie Espace 54 in Nancy and Galerie Christel in Limoges, enriching the artistic landscape with his innovative works.

 

Francis Begou

Francis Begou, born on 24 July 1967 in Antibes in the Alpes-Maritimes, has a broad artistic education. He attended the Beaux-arts in Montpellier, studied at the Arts décoratifs in Strasbourg and furthered his knowledge at the Faculté d'histoire de l'art in Montpellier.

Francis obtained the Certificate of Plastic Initiation (CIP) and the National Diploma of Plastic Arts (DNAP). His practical and theoretical training includes apprenticeships in blown glass with Alain BEGOU and in pasta vitrea with E. LEPERLIER and Jaromir RYBAK at Sars poterie.

His artistic career is marked by numerous exhibitions, starting with the engravings exhibited at the 1991 Saga at the Grand Palais in Paris and contemporary furniture at the Galerie l'Utopie in Uzès. His glass sculptures were exhibited at Galerie Art et Création in Lyon, Galerie Anliker in Berne, Galerie Espace 54 in Nancy, Galerie Christel in Limoges and Galerie Place des Arts in 1994.
