As part of the Le Stanze del Vetro project, the Giorgio Cini Foundation, with the support of Pentagram Stiftung, established in 2012 - within its own Institute of Art History - a specific Study Center which aims to become an important point of reference for the study of glass, as a living and current material, for the international scientific community and promotes multiple activities: from the creation of a General Archive of Venetian Glass - which intends, over the years, to collect the historical archives of Murano glassworks, mostly made up of drawings and projects, correspondence and photographic reproductions that will be made available to the scientific community in order to promote the enhancement of the glass art - to the establishment of a specialized glass library, from the organization of seminars, conferences and workshops intended for scholars and artists interested in the history, technologies and developments of glass art, up to all ’Organization of periodic exhibitions.
