Born in Murano in 1985, there he died in 1952. He followed his family's tradition in glassmaking, and in 1918 started working at Andrea Rioda's. In 1921 he became a partner and the art director at Succ. Andrea Rioda's. In 1932 he established the A.V.E.M. glassworks, started working as designer and doing a great deal of experimental work. He participated in the 1940, 1942, 1948, 1950 and 1952 Biennali and in the 1951 Triennale.
